Edmonton Strikers SC Registration & Refund Policy

Edmonton Strikers SC is a non-profit organization. Upon registration, the club immediately incurs expenses including (but not limited to) league affiliation fees, insurance, field rentals, administration, equipment, and team planning. As a result, the following refund policy applies to all registrations.

Non-Refundable Deposit

A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a player's roster spot.

The $250 non-refundable deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances, including (but not limited to) withdrawal, schedule conflicts, dissatisfaction, or a decision to join another club.

Refund Requests

All refund requests will be reviewed by Edmonton Strikers SC in accordance with this policy.

Within 3 Days of Registration

Refund requests submitted within three (3) days of the original registration date may be considered for a refund of any amount paid above the $250 non-refundable deposit, less any costs already incurred by the club.

After 3 Days (Before EMSA Rostering)

After three (3) days from the date of registration, the $250 non-refundable deposit remains in effect. Any remaining balance may be considered for a partial refund, less costs already incurred by the club, provided the player withdraws before being officially rostered with EMSA.

After EMSA Rostering

Once a player has been officially rostered with EMSA, no refunds will be issued, except as outlined under the Medical / Season-Ending Injury section below.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Withdrawal from the program

  • Non-attendance

  • Schedule conflicts

  • Dissatisfaction with team placement, coaching decisions, or the team environment

  • A decision to join or transfer to another club

Medical / Season-Ending Injury

Refund requests due to a season-ending illness or injury must:

  • Be submitted in writing.

  • Include supporting documentation from a licensed medical professional.

If approved, any refund will be prorated based on the unused portion of the season, less the $250 non-refundable deposit and any league affiliation fees, insurance, administration, field rentals, uniforms, equipment, or other costs already incurred by Edmonton Strikers SC.

Program Changes

Edmonton Strikers SC is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control, including (but not limited to) league scheduling changes, field or facility changes, weather-related cancellations, air quality or smoke advisories, or decisions made by EMSA or other governing bodies. These circumstances do not constitute grounds for a refund.

Refund Request Process

All refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to:

registrar@edmontonstrikers.com

Requests must include:

  • Player's name

  • Team / age group

  • Reason for the refund request

  • Medical documentation (if applicable)

Optional Refund Protection

If you purchase Optional Refund Protection, eligible refunds will be provided by the insurance company, not Edmonton Strikers SC, and are subject to the insurer's terms and conditions. Purchasing Refund Protection does not change or replace Edmonton Strikers SC's Registration & Refund Policy.
